Ugh. It turns out, Abraxane does have side effects. It hurts. Everywhere. By Friday night, I realized this would be no walk in the park. By Saturday, I was on Vicoden every 4 hours, just to keep it tolerable. Today everything still hurts, but a little less. I suppose it will fade over the next week.
Sadly, I prefer that to nausea. At least I wasn't sick. Mostly. Just a couple of times I thought I would be, but that could have been the Vitamin V. Narcotics do that too.
I'm also getting some numbness in my fingertips this morning. I'm going to try some supplements and see if it helps. It was suggested on a message board. Not that those suggestions always work. Claritin was suggested for the bone pain, but that didn't do anything at all. But I figure a few extra vitamins can't hurt.
The good news is that I am past the halfway point. I only have 3 more chemo treatments. Definitely on the backside now. I can hardly WAIT until I have hair back!!
I don't even know if you read the comments but I wanted to say I am really happy for you that you can begin your countdown to the end of chemo!! 3 treatments...you can do it!! I will be there cheering you on to the finish line. Just some random stranger whose lives crossed paths all because of our disease...Keep telling your story...we are reading it :-)

I'm glad that the pain is lessening, it sounded truly unpleasant. Your description of your side effect options sound like an all to real game of "would you rather"..."would you rather have soul crushing pain, or feel like your insides are staging a formal revolution, with machine guns" You are bald and beautiful, not everyone can pull that off as well as you do.
